We lovingly rear our oysters right from the beginning, starting the whole process in the hatchery with carefully selected parents. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall our crew tends the seed oysters until they are ready to get ‘planted’ on our leased areas of river bottom. The end result are oysters with the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and our bottom culturing makes the shells perfect for easy shucking.

Which season do you love most to work through, and why?

I really do love summers up here; they are just so perfect (once black fly season has passed!). Those early mornings heading out to the lease sites, you get some of the most beautiful views of already amazing surroundings. Plus, everyone is in a bit higher spirits when they’re not dealing with hypothermia!

We have a real spectrum of people... male, female, 20-somethings to sixty-somethings, folks who have been with the company for 15+ years, and new folks just starting, and everything in between!

Our team is a truly awesome group. We all get along great and truly care about each other, and work so well together.

Food is a great bond between us all, as is our love for some friendly competition, mostly in the form of extreme croquet, tube riding, and dock diving!
